In
the beginning, I founded Eventide Music Productions as a pseudo
label for Solace. I felt that having the illusion of a supportive
label would make me look legitimate to distributors. I soon discover
that EMP was becoming more of a real label as the number of CDs
released grew. Then major distributors started contacting me, and
EMP became a distribution company! If I'm going to run a label and
distribution company, I might as well act like one. The search began
for artists that reflect the explorative, expressive and non-conforming
musical arrangements that Solace is. Below is a list of the artists
I stumbled onto or discovered, as a result of my search, so far
Jeremiah Soto, EMP Founder and CEO
Solace - soundsofsolace.com
Solace is written and produced by EMP founder, Jeremiah M Soto. He writes music with a story in mind, a theme, as a book
without words, including dialogue between the characters (instruments),
and story development in chapters (songs). Solace songs have
meaning, passion and depth, as well as clear and clean production.
Rhythm is an important factor
behind Middle Eastern Dance Music. It is the heartbeat of the music
and the dance. As such, the rhythms and percussion in Solace arrangements
are prominent and the music is brooding and deep. All of these
elements combined make for a powerful song that conveys emotion
and a sense of relationship for the individual listener. Eventide Music Productions was founded, to give Solace, and now others, a platform to express, experiment, and explore-without
borders or boundaries. And so, Solace became the first brick in the EMP foundation.
Knossos - ambientoud.com
Dann Torres has been a long time friend of Jeremiah (for over 15 years) and has worked with him on
various musical projects such as the early bands Eventide, and Still, as well as various Solace
tracks. Dark Light In The Wake Of Silence, is Dann's first solo release.
It had been his obsession and mine as well! For two years
Jeremiah (and Rachel!) prodded and poked him for samples and the final product.
The long wait was worth it and in February 2005, EMP proudly presented
Knossos and another brick was placed in the EMP foundation. Knossos
is the perfect example of writing and production skill that Jeremiah expects for himself and EMPs other artists. Book mark Knossos in your web
browsers, he is definitely an artist worth watching out for. "If
Ivo could only see me now

Tim Rayborn - timrayborn.com
Though
EMP produces and supports artist who are cutting edge and envelope
pushers, musical traditions are the foundations and basis of what
we love to do; fusing ethnic musical styles. Tim Rayborn is the
perfect example of this traditional foundation. Amidst all the electronica
and fusion, Tim reminds us where it all came from and where it all
started. His no-nonsense folkloric style and virtuosity on numerous instruments
always amazes us. His historical knowledge of the music and regions
are vast and well respected. If there is ever a question to be asked
about a certain region whether it be Europe, the Balkans or the
Middle East, Tim is our go to guy!
Ruben van
Rompaey
- rubenvanrompaey.nl
One day, Jeremiah received a package from Holland. He opened the package
and discovered a CD-Rom and letter saying: "My name is Ruben
van Rompaey, drums/percussion The Netherlands. At the moment I'm
searching for an interested record label to release the album "Eastern
Expressions" which I've included within this package, containing
modern style groovy Oriental percussion pieces. I'd be very interested
to release it as an album at Eventide Productions". After listening
to the first 2 minutes of this remarkable masterpiece (and picking his jaw up off the floor), Jeremiah called
him long distance (and in the middle of the night due to the time difference) and told him how blown away he was with the quality
and performance on the disc. At that time Jeremiah was considering releasing a Rhythm
Of The Dance; Part 2. Well, needless to say, he didn't have to! EMP
can now say, we have our own Hossam Ramzy: enter Ruben van Rompaey.
Maduro - maduromusic.com
Maduro is a Washington D.C. area electronic music artist who records
a blend of dark, textured electronica and Electribal
music catering to the darker and more abstract side of Middle Eastern
and South Asian dance. Maduro believes in bringing darker electronica
and IDM sounds into world fusion and creating art for other artists
to interpret. Maduro describes this electribal sound
as Middle Eastern Death Disco. Maduro signed with Eventide Music
Productions in 2006.

Blind
Divine - blinddivine.com
Jeremiah met Daniel M. Diaz and his wife Paula through email. Daniel wrote Jeremiah regarding Solace saying how he enjoyed painting to it. Jeremiah visited
his website and Rachel had to pick his jaw up off the floor. Not
only is Daniel an amazing artist, his musical skills are superbly
thought provoking. Paula's haunting and sultry vocals and arrangements
are equally excellent! Though Blind Divine is not signed to EMP
and is not of the genres we produce, we felt a great desire to get
this music to the masses. It needs to be heard! It's the most breathtaking
and sincere music we have heard from an independent band. EMP
is honored to be distributing their first release, "Devouring
The Beautiful". EMP plans on distributing future releases from this underground
phenomenon, as they become available. Yet another brick
